The association's founder, Jura Hlasensky, spent two weeks on an internship in Primorsky Krai in 2018. When he witnessed firsthand the importance of the rescue station and the difficult conditions of its operation, he decided to start supporting local conservationists and protecting the Amur tiger subspecies.

2018
First contact with the wild
It all started with a beloved internship at a tiger rescue station in Russia's Far East. This is where the first close collaboration with local conservationists was born, and it continues to this day.
2019
Starting a tradition: Run for Tigers
We organized the first-ever edition of our biggest charity event. Run for Tigers immediately became a beloved tradition and symbol of our community.
2020
Official founding, education & Zoo Hodonin
This year was a fundamental milestone for us in several ways:
Altaica Association
We officially became a non-profit organization registered under the Ministry of Interior.
International Tiger Day
We established a tradition of International Tiger Day celebrations at Zoo Hodonin, connecting the public with the topic of big cat conservation.
Clubhouse Evenings
During the pandemic, we launched digital education and discussions with experts on the Clubhouse platform.
2022
International partnerships & charity

WildCats Conservation Alliance
We launched an official collaboration with this prestigious British tiger conservation organization.
Altaica Charity Concert
In collaboration with Aurora agency, we organized a charity concert at Hard Rock Cafe Prague.
